This detailed study covers a range of mobile and fixed plant fires and acts as a meta-analysis to consolidate the fires into a range of causes.
Recommendations are made, including:
- Confirming risk analyses place appropriate weighting on preventative controls for fires
- Leadership commitment to fire prevention and emergency response readiness
- Engineering and maintenance measures to identify and eliminate fire threats, and
- Change management protocols that should be in place
