This group of failure modes relates to overloading of mobile equipment causing acute or long-term degrading of equipment – which will lead to impacting on the performance of mobile (and ancillary) equipment. The types of failure mode identified include:
- Restraints or load securing devices failing during an incident
- Incident leads to an overload of a vehicle cabin
- Operating conditions/environment leading to excessive loads on equipment
- Actions of operators leads to an overload on equipment (speed, loaded weights, etc.)
The business inputs recommended/identified as addressing these problems are listed.
