The Work Packages in this section focus on the successful implementation of new VI intervention controls (EMESRT Levels 8–9). This requires the integration of all VI Control Levels for a ‘whole of system’ improvement.

After piloting the selected enhance control(s) review and update the Site Vehicle Interaction Control Baseline identifying: 

  • The details of the new business inputs e.g. its replacement or modification of an existing Business Input control
  • Any new credible failure modes e.g. consider changes in operator or pedestrian behaviour
  • Consider and update impacts on existing credible failure modes
  • Consider and update impacts on associated business inputs
