BI.04.04 Load and speed of mobile equipment is monitored and controlled to optimise tyre life

Operating sites include specification requirements around monitoring equipment required on tyres and wheel assemblies to optimise the life and safety/integrity of this equipment. OEM requirements for tyres and wheel assemblies are tracked with records kept and maintenance strategy work orders raised as required. Mine operator establishes a haul truck payload target and maximum speed policy ? in relation to for each haulage application on site (or universally adopted for all site hauls) ? that balances:

  1. Haulage productivity
  2. Tyre and wheel/rim (and truck) component life
