EMESRT presents at the MSHAC vehicle interaction safety forum

Tony Egan, EMESRT Advisory Group member representing Glencore, presented at the Queensland Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee vehicle interaction safety forum on Wednesday 12 July 2023.

The forum provided an opportunity for participants to openly collaborate and share learnings for developing, implementing and maintaining effective controls associated with vehicle interactions.

The event, opened by Kate du Preez, Commissioner for Resources Safety and Health, Queensland, brought together a mix of industry members representing quarries, mineral resources, universities, and other organisations involved in safety and health.

Forums such as this are important in continuing industry collaboration and sharing of information.

EMESRT acknowledges that effective collaboration and engagement is paramount in achieving the desired outcomes to very complex problems, and vehicle interaction is a complex problem indeed.
