Fire, Tyre and Rim Management

The first EMESRT mobile equipment fire management and tyre and rim technical working group monthly meeting for 2023 was held on 7 February. What did the attendees hear:

  • There were five dozer rollovers in a week and a half in Queensland
  • Fire management control effectiveness baseline mapping at pilot site completed – Report in development
  • ISO 13649 working group meetings held to discuss/refine content
  • Design Philosophy 4 – Mobile Equipment Fire Management potential unwanted event illustrations underway
  • Tyre handler small group of experts three workshops scheduled for 7 February, 7 March and 28 March to work through the 18 storyboard animations
  • ACARP Project C35020 Human-centred Interactive Hazard Experiences in OTR Tyre Handling approved and is underway
  • Tyre and rim knowledge hub navigation aid workshop scheduled for 14 February
  • AS 4457.1 and 2 will shortly complete the Standards Australia editing process
