How can we join EMESRT?
EMESRT membership is for mining companies only. However, EMESRT does have a community of mining operators, original equipment manufacturers, technology providers, third-party suppliers, researchers, and other who are members of the topic specific technical working groups.

Can we engage with EMESRT without membership?
Yes you can.

How many EMESRT member company representatives can we have on the advisory group?
Each EMESRT member company can have one advisory group representative. However, a member company can have a proxy to cover for the representative when unavailable.
How many representatives can we have participate in the technical working groups?
There are no limits as to how many technical working group members can join a particular group.
Does EMESRT have a physical office?
No, EMESRT does not have a physical office therefore keeping operational costs to a minimum.
Focus Areas
When an OEM advertises that their system is EMESRT Level 7 CAS certified, is this a self-certification based on a standard outlined by EMESRT or is it certified by a third party somehow?
EMESRT DOES NOT provide certification or any endorsement of any particular solution or product. There are two key vehicle interaction industry resource materials EMESRT has published, firstly Performance Requirement 5A (PR-5A) which addresses the technology performance and integration issues faced by industry and what to look out for. The second set which link to PR-5A is the functional performance scenario storyboards for Surface and UG as these are the real issue that the technology needs to address to stop fatalities.

No, EMESRT makes all industry resource materials available free of charge. The resources were developed in collaboration with industry for the industry.
