A fire in a muffler box on a loader was extinguished after multiple attempts and deployment of the on-board fire suppression system.
Contributing factors identified include:
- Fuel leaking into the Diesel Particulate Filter
- Earlier collision with a wall that ruptured a fuel line, and
- Failing to identify the damaged fuel line after the collision occurred.
