New Hope Collision Awareness System Installation Case Study

This case study is provided by New Hope Group an Australian based coal mining company, In 2010 they reviewed options for enhanced technical options in controlling identified risks associated with vehicle interactions on their operational mine sites.

After a comprehensive review of available systems, the SAFEmine CAS (Collision Avoidance System) system was considered an eminently suitable and cost-effective system for application at the New Hope Group operating coal mines at Acland on the Darling Downs and Jeebropilly in the West Moreton coalfields.

As a result, New Acland has been using the SAFEmine CAS system for approximately five years, with continued improvement and effectiveness through development and maturity of systems and processes.
