Uncontrolled acceleration of light vehicle when 2-way radio was used – Mines Safety Alert no. 213 on 28 November 2008, Queensland, Australia
This alert highlights issues of electromagnetic interference with the throttling positioning sensor. A recently introduced 4 x 4 vehicle accelerated when the button on the vehicle’s 2-way radio was depressed.
