The Work Packages in this section focus on the successful implementation of new VI intervention controls (EMESRT Levels 8–9). This requires the integration of all VI Control Levels for a ‘whole of system’ improvement.

Operational validation requires the piloting of new processes and technology

  • Pilot the selected new vehicle interaction control(s)
  • Train people who will work directly with the new Vehicle Interaction Control; make the balance of the workforce aware.
  • Report back on pilot results and confirm the results align with User Requirements.
  • If successful, confirm what must be considered before further operational deployment.
